Campground Boulder is a bouldering area in the Mono Lake Ranger District of Inyo National Forest in California, about 3.4 miles from the Lee Vining weather station. It sits among several other bouldering spots, including Roadside Boulder and Lee Vining Bouldering, both about 0.1 mile away, and Little Arete Boulder at the same distance. The climbing here is all bouldering, with nine routes graded from V0 to V2. Problem D and Problem F are the easiest at V0, and Problem H and Problem I are the hardest at V2. The routes are short and sit close together, so the area works well for a quick session rather than a long day on the rocks. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the Lee Vining weather station, which sits about 600 feet lower than the boulders, show July highs around 84°F with lows near 54°F, while winter highs stay in the low 40s. For an overnight stay, Moraine Campground is about 0.6 mile away and Lower Lee Vining Campground about a mile off. Gibbs Lake, a hike about 1.2 miles away, is another nearby option.
