A is a climbing area in the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument Ranger District of Angeles National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits to the left of the trail, and its name points to its location rather than a single peak or route. Several climbing areas cluster within about 0.1 mile of this spot, so it makes sense to plan a visit around the cluster as a whole. The most comfortable stretch for a day is late spring and early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Mt Wilson weather station, which sits at a similar elevation, run from highs around 70°F in May to about 72°F in October, with only a few wet days in each of those months. B1 Boulder and Main Area are both about 0.1 mile away, and Mt. Hillyer is a hike 0.3 mile off. For an overnight stay, Bandido Group Campground is about 0.7 mile away.
