Watson Creek Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in California's Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back that covers about 0.3 miles, with a low point of 7,395 feet and a high of 7,446 feet, so the climb is only about 35 feet one way. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Tahoe City show July highs around 78°F with lows near 46°F and only about one wet day in the month. That station sits roughly 1,200 feet below the trail, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Watson Creek Road lies just 0.1 mile away, and the Tahoe Rim Trail is about 0.4 mile off. Crawford Boulder, a climbing area, is about 1.7 miles away, and Silver Creek Campground is about 4.3 miles away.
