Sawtooth Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in California's Tahoe National Forest, within the Truckee Ranger District. The trail is an out-and-back that covers about 0.7 miles, with a low point of 6,348 feet and a high of 6,412 feet, a climb of about 53 feet one way. The Forest Service manages the land. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 82°F with lows near 44°F and only about two wet days in the month. Winter is cold, with January highs around 41°F and lows near 17°F. The Sawtooth trail is about 0.3 miles away, and the Wood Splitter Jump Trail is about half a mile off. Granite Flat campground sits about 0.7 miles away, and the Memorial Boulder climbing area is about 2.5 miles away.
