Matt's Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in the Martis Creek Lake area of the Truckee Ranger District, part of Tahoe National Forest in California. The Army Corps of Engineers manages the land, and the trail is about a mile long with a one-way climb of roughly 470 feet, taking you from about 5,826 feet to about 6,314 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Truckee-Tahoe run to highs around 76°F in June and 85°F in July, with lows in the low 40s. Winters are cold, with January highs near 42°F and lows around 13°F. Royal Flush, a mountain biking route, sits about 0.3 miles away, and Erika's Trail, a hike, is about 0.4 miles off. Climbers can head to the "Green Acres Project" Boulder, about 1.2 miles away, and paddlers will find Martis Creek about 3.6 miles from the trail.
