Jamison Lake Trail is a short, hard mountain biking route in California's Plumas National Forest, within the Beckwourth Ranger District. The trail runs out and back over about 1.7 miles, from a low point of about 6,000 feet to a high of around 6,290 feet, with a one-way elevation gain of about 280 feet. The Forest Service manages the land. For timing, summer is the most comfortable stretch. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 82°F and lows near 54°F, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and lows below freezing. That station sits about 900 feet lower than the trail's high point, so expect cooler temperatures on the route. The Jamison Creek Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Wades/Jamison Lake Connector lies about 0.4 mile off. For camping, Lakes Basin Group Campground and Lakes Basin Family Campground are both within 3 miles.
