Dascombe Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in the Yuba River Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. It starts about half a mile from the town of Nevada City, California, and covers a round-trip distance of roughly 1.1 miles with a total elevation gain of about 88 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, with the low point at about 3,771 feet and the high at about 3,875 feet. The most comfortable months for a ride are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Nevada City show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 71°F, while July and August average highs near 87°F. Harmony Trail and the Dascombe/Harmony Connector both lie about 0.4 miles away. Climbers can find Edward's Crossing on the South Yuba River about 3.7 miles off, and White Cloud campground sits about 4.2 miles away.
