Two Peaks is a hard hike on the Pacific Ranger District of Eldorado National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. The route is 11.2 miles long with a total elevation gain of 1,548 feet, and it follows natural-surfaced trail. Horses are allowed. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Dagget Pass show July highs around 75°F with lows near 49°F and only about one or two wet days a month. Winter there runs much colder, with highs in the mid-30s and lows near 23°F. Sunrock and the Sun Rock Trail (15E20) are both under a mile away, and Tells Equestrian Campground is just 0.9 miles off. October Wall, a climbing area, is about 3 miles from the trail.
