Marshall Meadow is a hard hike in the Western Divide Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest, about 7.4 miles from the trailhead. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is an out-and-back that climbs from about 4,646 feet to about 7,229 feet, with a total gain of 2,554 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. Sunday Peak sits just 0.6 miles away, and Cattle Run and Telephone Ridge are within about 3 miles. For an overnight base, Poso Guard Station Cabin is about 3.4 miles off.
