Euchre Bar is an out-and-back hike in California's Tahoe National Forest, within the American River Ranger District. The route covers about 8 miles with a one-way climb of 2,220 feet, rising from a low point of 1,913 feet to a high of 3,554 feet. The trail is a hard route, and it runs on natural surface. The trail is open year round, and the Forest Service manages the land. Bikes are allowed, so the route works for riders as well as hikers. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Nevada City weather station show May and October highs around 71°F, while July and August average highs near 87°F and winter brings lows in the mid-30s. The Green Valley Trail lies about 1.4 miles away, and American Eagle is about 2.5 miles out. For camping, Shirttail Campground and Giant Gap are both within about 4 miles.
