Duck Pass is a hard hike in the Mammoth Ranger District of Inyo National Forest in California, about 7 miles from the Mammoth Lakes Pack Station. It is a long, steep out-and-back with a total elevation gain of about 1,500 feet, starting at roughly 9,260 feet and reaching a high point of about 10,756 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a natural-surface route that allows horses. It is not accessible. The hike works best as a day trip. Coldwater Campground sits about a mile away, and Pine City Campground is about 1.3 miles off, both good places to base a longer stay in the area. Climbers will find the Crimp Ladder Area and Talladega Nights Area about 0.6 miles from the trail.
