Agnew Pass is a short, easy out-and-back hike in California's Ansel Adams Wilderness, within the Mammoth Ranger District of Inyo National Forest. The trail is 1.4 miles long, with a low point of 9,719 feet and a high of 9,848 feet, and it is managed by the Forest Service. The route is natural-surfaced and allows horses, and it is not accessible. Bikes are not allowed. The pass is open year-round. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Tuolumne Meadows, which sits about 1,150 feet lower, show July highs around 71°F and lows near 38°F. That station's figures are not directly comparable to the pass's higher elevation. Spooky Meadow Trail and Clark Lakes are both within a mile. The June Lake Area climbing area is about 2.7 miles away, and Silver Lake Campground is about 3.6 miles away.
