Voyager Rock is a Forest Service campground on the east shore of Courtright Reservoir in California's Sierra National Forest, within the High Sierra Ranger District. It sits off the Dusy-Ershim trail and is accessible only by off-highway vehicles. The site is set among large lodgepole pine trees, which provide shade to the campsites. Most sites have lake views and are equipped with a table, grill and bear box. Vault toilets are provided, and no fees are required to stay here. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Huntington Lake weather station, which sits several hundred feet lower, show July and August highs around 74°F with lows near 49°F and only one or two wet days a month. Winter is cold, with January highs in the low 40s and lows in the mid-20s. Frazier is a hike just 0.4 miles away, and Spring Dome, a climbing area, is about 1.1 miles off. Blackcap Trail is also about 1.1 miles away, and Helms Creek, a paddling spot, is roughly 2.1 miles away.
