Sugar Pine Point Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Amador Ranger District of Eldorado National Forest in California. It sits among a cluster of campgrounds and recreation areas, with Pardoes Point Campground about 0.8 miles away and South Shore Campground about a mile off. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically June through September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 73°F in June to about 81°F in July, with only one or two wet days a month. That station sits roughly 1,200 feet lower than the campground, so temperatures here run cooler. The campground is not reservable, and the Forest Service manages the land. For a longer stay, Bear River Reservoir, about a mile away, offers cross-country skiing, and the Gamma Quadrant climbing area is about 2.6 miles off.
