Pardoes Point Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Amador Ranger District of Eldorado National Forest in California. It sits among a cluster of campgrounds and cross-country ski routes, with South Shore Campground about 0.3 miles away and Sugar Pine Point Campground about 0.8 miles away. The land is managed by the Forest Service. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically June through September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 73°F in June to about 81°F in July, with only one or two wet days a month. That station sits roughly 1,200 feet lower than the campground, so temperatures at the camp run cooler. The campground is not reservable. Plan on a short drive to the nearest town, and pair your stay with the Cole Creek Loop cross-country ski route, just 0.2 miles away, or the Bear River Reservoir ski area about 1.3 miles off. Climbers can head to the Gamma Quadrant climbing area, about 2 miles away.
