Moore Creek Campground is a group campground in the Shasta Lake Ranger District of Shasta-Trinity National Forest in California, about 2.6 miles from the community of Point McCloud. The Forest Service manages the land, and the Shasta Recreation Company, its concessionaire, can use the site as a single-family campground on an "as needed for overflow" basis. All campsites have picnic tables, fire rings, tent pads, bear boxes and paved parking spurs. Vault toilets are the on-site sanitation. A fee is charged for stays. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Shasta Dam weather station show May highs around 79°F and October highs around 78°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. Moore Creek campground sits about half a mile away, and Dekkas Rock Campground is about 1.1 miles off. The Dekkas hike starts about 1.3 miles away, and Shasta Lake Area fishing is about 3.5 miles away.
