Lodgepole Overflow is a developed Forest Service campground in the Calaveras Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest, about a mile from Lake Alpine. It sits in a large, forested, flat area, and the site offers vault toilets and access to hiking and biking trails. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 75°F with lows near 49°F, and only about two wet days a month from June through September. (Lake Alpine) Lodgepole Campground is just 0.1 mile away, and the Osborne Ridge Trail and its connector are each about 0.2 mile off. Silvertip campground is about 0.4 mile away.
