Yellow Bank Beach
About
Yellow Bank Beach is a public ocean beach in California, about 2 miles from the town of Davenport. There is no fee to visit. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 80°F with only about four wet days, and October highs near 83°F with similar dry conditions. Summer runs hotter, with August highs averaging about 90°F. Several other outdoor spots sit within a few miles. The Káknu (Hawk) Trail Parking and Blufftop Trail are both about 3 miles away, and the Santa Cruz climbing area is roughly 5 miles off. Paddlers can head to Scott Creek, about 8 miles away.
