Gazos Creek Access
About
Gazos Creek Access is a public ocean beach on the California coast, about 5.4 miles from the town of Pescadero. It's a simple, free stop with restrooms and accessible access, making it an easy place to reach the shoreline without a fee. The most comfortable stretch for a visit runs from late summer into early fall, when typical averages from a nearby weather station show highs around 71 to 72°F in August and September with only about three wet days a month. Winter months are cooler and wetter, with highs near 60°F. Several short hikes sit within a couple of miles, including Whitehouse Creek Trail and Wilbur's Watch Trail, both about 1.4 miles away, and Ohlone Ridge Lookout at about 1.7 miles. For a bigger outing, Big Basin State Park lies roughly 7.7 miles off.
