Bonny Doon Beach
About
Bonny Doon Beach is a public beach on the California coast, about 1.2 miles from the town of Davenport. There is no fee to visit. For comfortable weather, consider late spring or early fall. A nearby weather station in Ben Lomond records typical averages of highs around 80°F in May and 83°F in October, with only about four wet days in each month. Winter is the wettest season there, averaging about 12 wet days a month from December through February, and July and August are the hottest months, with highs near 90°F. The beach makes an easy pairing with nearby trails. Káknu (Hawk) Trail Parking, a mountain biking access point, is about 2 miles away, and the Warrenella Truck Trail hike is about 2.5 miles away.
