The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits within designated wilderness, so it is a backcountry destination rather than a developed climbing park. The boulders are the draw here. The area holds 15 boulder problems, all rated from V2 to V8 on the V scale, with the median grade around V6. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Deer, Arkansas, run to highs around 70°F in May and 65°F in October, while July and August average in the low 80s.
