Cool Breeze Area is a climbing area in the Buffalo Ranger District of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing areas, including Gravity Slab/Meltdown Wall and Hippie Wall, each about 0.1 mile away. The area has seven routes, six of which are sport and one is trad. The grades run from 5.8 to 5.11b, with the hardest being Cool Breeze at 5.11b. Designer Causes is the only trad route, a 5.8 first climbed by Clay Frisbie and Neil Sade in 1995. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Deer, Arkansas, show May highs around 70°F and October highs around 65°F, while July and August average in the low 80s. Nearby, Sam's Throne and Catacombs are hikes about 2 miles away, and Richland Creek offers canoeing roughly 6 miles off.
