Possum Kingdom - 83B is a hike in the Jessieville Ranger District of Ouachita National Forest in Arkansas, managed by the Forest Service. It is a 6.2-mile out-and-back route with a total elevation gain of 198 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.7 miles, where the grade reaches about 5%. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Blakely Mtn Dam weather station run to highs around 72°F in April and 73°F in October, while July and August average highs in the low 90s. That station sits well below the hike, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. The Possum Kingdom Bike Ride lies about 1.2 miles away, and Possum Kingdom - 83A is about 1.5 miles off.
