Hunts Loop is an 8.8-mile out-and-back hike in the Jessieville Ranger District of Ouachita National Forest in Arkansas, managed by the Forest Service. The trail's route is natural surface, and it rises from 1,266 feet to 1,374 feet at the high point before descending back, with a total gain and loss of about 1,540 feet each way. The steepest stretch comes around mile 1.5, where the grade reaches 23%, and the climb makes this a hard hike. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 73°F and April highs around 71°F, while July and August average highs near 89°F. Bear Creek Equestrian Trail is about 2 miles away, and Friendship Trail is about 4 miles off. Jessieville Winona Fourche Ranger District, a lake fishing spot, is about 4 miles away. Climbers can find Hollis Mountain about 1,200 feet away, and the trailhead offers a starting point for longer outings.
