Bayou Bluff Trail is an easy hike in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest, within the Bayou Ranger District of Arkansas. It is a short, low-elevation route, about 2 miles long, with a total elevation gain of about 96 feet, which makes it an easy addition to a day spent in the area. The trail is on natural ground and is not accessible. Bikes and horses are not allowed. The Forest Service lists it as a trail within the National Forest System, and it is open year-round. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Russellville put April highs around 73°F and October highs around 74°F, with July and August averaging about 92°F.
