Tom's Thumb is a climbing area in the Mcdowell Sonoran Preserve in Arizona, on county land. It sits among several other climbing spots, and the preserve makes it a compact destination for bouldering and rock climbing. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Pinnacle Peak weather station run from highs around 79°F in April to 83°F in October, while summer highs climb into the 90s. Crossroads Wall, also known as Parking Lot Wall, is just 0.1 mile away, and Gardener's Wall and Lost Wall are within a third of a mile. Hikers can head to the Lookout Trail, about 0.6 mile off.
