Tollgate Pass East is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Safford Field Office in Arizona, managed by the BLM. It sits just 0.1 mile from Tollgate Pass West, the sister climbing area across the pass. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Clifton weather station run from highs around 73°F with lows near 45°F in March to highs near 83°F with lows around 55°F in October. That station sits about 470 feet lower than the pass, so temperatures up high run cooler. The area has seven routes, six of them sport and one a top rope. Grades range from 5.4 up to 5.12. Vector's Crack is the top rope at 5.4, and The Green Goblin is the hardest at 5.12.
