The Promised Land is a climbing area on State Trust Land in Arizona, managed by the State Department of Land. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with Solomon Area and Valerie's Book Area each about 0.1 mile away. The routes here are all sport climbs, and the grade range runs from 5.8- up to 5.12b, with the median at 5.11a. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Chino Valley weather station show April highs around 71°F and October highs around 76°F, while July and August average in the low 90s. Several routes stand out. Cactus Kiss is the easiest at 5.8-, and Number 1 and Number 2 are both in the 5.11 and 5.12 range. The closest climbing areas are Solomon Area and Valerie's Book Area, and the Gold Tank Trail is about 6.7 miles away for a hike.
