Outlying Areas is a bouldering area in Arizona, about 0.3 miles from the community of Wildwood Estates. It sits among a cluster of climbing, hiking and camping spots, with the Ridge Top hike just half a mile away and the Piglet mountain biking route under a mile off. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes spread across a range of grades from V0 to V6-7. The easiest are B Positive at V0 and Bloody Bullet at V0-1, while DRL Face and The Super Chunk sit at V6 and V6-7. The area is best suited to climbers who enjoy bouldering on a small scale. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Prescott weather station show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 73°F, while July and August average about 90°F with more wet days. Thumb Butte campground is about 1.4 miles away, and Yavapai Campground is about 2.7 miles off. For more climbing, Outfrumunders is about 1.5 miles away.
