Lower Sullivan Canyon is a climbing area in Arizona, about 2 miles from the town of Paulden. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Timmies West, Concrete Jungle and The Nursery all about 0.2 miles away. The area is known for its trad routes, and the climbing here runs from about 5.9 up to 5.11d. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Chino Valley weather station show April highs around 71°F and October highs around 76°F, while July and August average in the low 90s. The routes here are all trad, and the grade range spans from 5.9 to 5.11d. Among the named routes are Basalt and Battery at 5.9, Lord of the Flies at 5.10c and One Small Step at 5.11d. For a change from the rock, the Gold Tank Trail is about 7 miles away, and Prospect Point is roughly 8 miles off.
