Lonely Boulder is a bouldering area on Forest Service land in the Globe Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona, about 2.5 miles from the Superior weather station. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with Hidden World North, Hidden World South, Oak Flat and Entrance Boulders each about 0.1 mile away, so it pairs easily with time on those other spots. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Superior station run from highs in the low 70s with lows in the upper 40s in March and November to highs around 62 with lows in the low 40s in December and January. The station sits about 1,120 feet below the boulders, so temperatures up high run cooler. The area has five boulder problems, all rated between V0 and V3. RJG #242 is V0, and RJG #244 is V3.
