The Amphitheater is a climbing area in the Globe Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Troll Hut and Stormwatch Wall each about 0.1 mile away and Northern Devils Canyon about 0.3 mile off. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Miami, Arizona, show April highs around 78°F and October highs around 84°F, while July averages about 100°F and January lows dip to about 36°F. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower than the Amphitheater, so temperatures at the climbing area run cooler. Oak Flat campground is about 2.3 miles away for an overnight stay, and Haunted Canyon is about 3.8 miles away for a hike.
