The Pond is a climbing area in the Globe Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona, about 1.9 miles from the Superior weather station. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Renaissance Tower and Queen Creek Canyon each about half a mile away and Barracuda Boulders about 0.6 miles off. The area is a sport climbing destination, with 79 sport routes and one trad route among its 80 routes. Grades run from 5.5 up to 5.13+, with the median around 5.10b. Some of the named routes include Next To Nothing at 5.5, Cowboy at 5.10a and The Emerald at 5.13+. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Superior station show March highs around 72°F and November highs around 72°F, while July highs reach about 99°F. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures at the Pond run cooler.
