Sundog Trail is a 10.2-mile out-and-back mountain biking route on Arizona's State Trust Land, managed by the State Department of Land. The trail starts at about 5,539 feet and climbs to a high point of 5,681 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,885 feet over the round trip. The steepest stretch comes at about 2.2 miles in, where the grade reaches 17 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Prescott show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 73°F, while July and August average about 90°F with more wet days. The trail sits close to several other destinations. Badger Mountain Trail is about 1.2 miles away, and the Indian Hill Multi Use Path is about 1.4 miles away.
