Ridge Loop is a short, easy mountain biking route on Bureau of Land Management land in the Tucson Field Office, about 0.13 miles from the trailhead. It's a gentle, flowing out-and-back with no elevation gain, making it an ideal warm-up ride for beginners and families. The trail winds through classic Sonoran Desert landscape, and its brief length allows for multiple laps to build confidence on forgiving singletrack. The most comfortable months for riding are typically November and March, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run around 76°F for highs and 46°F to 47°F for lows. Summer is hot, with typical July and August highs near 100°F. Far West Trail and North Trail both sit about 0.1 mile away, and West Loop is about 0.2 mile off. For a change of pace, Old Indian Path is a hike about 0.2 mile away.
