P-Bar Lake is an easy out-and-back hike of about 1.9 miles in the Alpine Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona. The trail rises about 290 feet from a low point of 8,649 feet to a high of 8,935 feet, and it is managed by the Forest Service. The trail is natural-surface and open to both horses and bikes, and it is not an accessible route. The parking area is called the P-Bar Lake Trailhead, and the trail is open year-round. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the Alpine, AZ weather station, about 16 miles away, show May highs near 69°F and October highs near 64°F, while July and August bring the most wet days. Nearby, the Foote Creek A mountain biking area is about 0.6 miles away and the Clell Lee Trail #24 is about 0.7 miles away. Hannagan Campground is about 2.8 miles off, and Aker Lake Fishing Site is about 4.2 miles away.
