Juniper Springs is a 5.1-mile out-and-back hike in the Chino Valley Ranger District of Prescott National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 5,200 feet to a high point of 6,216 feet, with a total elevation gain of 988 feet, and is rated moderate. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Walnut Creek, which sits about 1,100 feet lower, show April highs around 72°F and October highs around 75°F, while July averages climb to about 92°F. The trail is on natural surface and allows horses. Bikes are not permitted.
