Moqui Group Campground sits in the Mogollon Rim Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, about 6,900 feet in a setting of ponderosa, oak and aspen. It is a Forest Service site with three group sites: Simmons, Spooner and Ernst. Each can hold up to 50 people and comes with picnic tables, fire rings, grills, vault toilets, trash collection and piped drinking water. Summer is the most comfortable season. A nearby weather station at a similar elevation records typical July highs around 83°F and lows near 55°F, while September cools to typical highs around 76°F and lows near 46°F. The Arizona Trail 89 passes less than a mile away. East Clear Creek offers canoeing about 2.6 miles out, and the climbing at Blue Ridge Reservoir and Powerline Crag is roughly 2.9 miles off. Long Valley campground is about 9 miles away.
