Diamond Rock Campground is a Forest Service site in the Alpine Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona, about 2.6 miles from the town of Three Forks. It sits along the Black River, with three campsites set a few steps from the stream to protect the river's riparian zone. The site's Adirondack-style three-sided shelters were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Depression era, before the age of large car campers. Vault toilets are the only amenity on site, and a fee is charged for camping here. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Alpine weather station show May highs around 69°F and October highs around 64°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 13 to 15 a month. The Three Forks hike starts just 0.1 mile away, and Deer Creek (east Fork-Black River) campground is about 1.4 miles off. Raccoon Campground and Horse Springs Campground are both within about 3.3 miles.
