Deer Creek (east Fork-Black River) is a Forest Service campground in the Alpine Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona. It sits among a cluster of campgrounds and trails, with Raccoon Campground just 0.8 miles away and Diamond Rock Campground about 1.4 miles off. The site is a simple base for overnight stays, with vault toilets as the only listed amenity. A fee is charged for use. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Alpine weather station show May highs around 69°F and October highs around 64°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 13 to 15 a month. Nearby options include the Three Forks hike at 1.4 miles and the Black River hike at 4.6 miles. Paddlers can head to the North Fork East Fork Black River, about 4.1 miles away, and anglers will find river fishing in the Alpine Ranger District roughly 6.9 miles off.
