The Window
About
The Window is a natural arch in Canyon de Chelly National Monument in northeastern Arizona, about 6 miles from the community of Del Muerto. It sits at roughly 6,160 feet, so a visit fits easily into a day spent exploring the monument's trails and landscapes. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 69°F and October highs around 70°F, while July highs climb to about 93°F. The station sits several hundred feet lower, so temperatures at the arch may run a little cooler. For more time on foot, the White House Trail is about 4.5 miles away.
