Talus Trail is a moderate out-and-back hike in northern Alabama, about 2 miles from the town of Burrows. The route is roughly 1.8 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 1,153 feet, and it reaches a high point of 1,350 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.5 miles, where the grade reaches 17 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go.
