Santa Lucia Range

The Santa Lucia Range is a coastal mountain range located in central California, extending approximately 100 miles along the Pacific Ocean. This rugged, forested range is characterized by steep, rocky terrain with numerous canyons, ridges, and peaks. The range's proximity to the ocean results in a moderate, Mediterranean climate with cool, foggy conditions common. The Santa Lucias are part of the larger California Floristic Province, known for its diverse and endemic plant life, including several rare and endangered species.
