Monte Cristo Range

The Monte Cristo Range is a small mountain range located in the Cascade Mountains of western Washington state. The range is known for its rugged alpine terrain, with sharp granite peaks, steep-walled valleys, and numerous glacial lakes. The range's highest point is Monte Cristo Peak, standing at 6,137 feet. The terrain is characterized by steep, rocky slopes and talus fields, with dense forest cover at lower elevations giving way to alpine meadows and exposed rock higher up.
