About Mammals of the Blue Ridge Parkway: Ranger-Led Talks and Activities (Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center - Milepost 384)

Come learn about some of the Blue Ridge Parkway’s lesser-known and lesser-seen mammals! During this 20-minute ranger talk, visitors can learn what a mammal is, what mammals can be found on the parkway, and how they have adapted to survive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Visitors will also have a chance to learn how to identify mammal scats and tracks and check out some mammal pelts. Whether you are a wildlife expert or a novice naturalist, this is a great chance to have a hands-on experience with some of the Parkway’s animal residents.

From the National Park Service.

Good to know: The 20-minute “talk” portion of the program starts at 2:45PM.
