About Bryan
Bryan is a ghost town in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, situated along the Blacks Fork River roughly 12 miles west of Green River. For a brief period it served as a local headquarters and division point for the Union Pacific Railroad, giving it a role of regional importance that proved short-lived.
Very little survives today. A handful of concrete foundations are all that remain on the ground, making Bryan a destination for visitors drawn to quiet, understated history rather than dramatic ruins. The riverside setting along the Blacks Fork adds some scenic character to what is otherwise a spare and largely empty landscape.
