Aldridge

Aldridge is a ghost town in Park County, Montana, sitting roughly two miles north of Yellowstone National Park's northern entrance. Its history spans several identities: first known as Horr, later renamed Electric, and finally incorporated as Aldridge in 1906. During its active years, the town functioned as a mining community, producing coke and coal to supply the smelters of the Anaconda Copper Mining Company.

Today Aldridge is a ghost town, meaning visitors come for the sense of history and the setting rather than developed amenities. Its proximity to Yellowstone's northern boundary makes it a natural add-on for anyone already exploring that corridor. Photography and sightseeing are the main draws. Access is most reliable in summer and early fall; Montana winters in this area can make roads difficult or impassable.
