About Sheep Gulch Trailhead
This is a popular, 2.5 mile trail with an elevation gain of 2,670 feet, that takes you to Hope Pass. It is run by participants training for the Leadville Trail 100 foot Race and is considered the "crux" of that infamous race. Hope Pass offers extraordinary views of the Collegiate Peaks with exceptional views of Missouri Mountain, Mount Belford, Mount Oxford and Huron Peak.
