About

Dumont Lake Campground has 22 handicap accessible campsites, with a good combination of pull-through and back-in sites. Campsites are private and roomy, and most have clear views of the alpine meadow around the lake. Campers also have the convenience of three restrooms and hand pumps for drinking water. Visitors can reach the two-mile Rabbit Ears Trail from the facility, and the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail nearby. Camping limit is 14 days. The area offers spin and fly fishing in both lakes and streams, access to hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking on the many nearby dirt roads and trails. The area borders on the Continental Divide and sits on top of the Park Range, offering spectacular views of several Colorado mountain ranges. Bird watchers and wildflower enthusiasts will find this area a paradise. Dumont Lake is located at the Picnic Area, which a short walk away from the campground. The lake is restricted to electric motors or hand-propelled boats only.
