Now in the Claude directory

Bring Roamze into your conversation.

Add Roamze from Claude's connector directory, sign in with your Roamze account, and ask about trails, campgrounds, gear, meals, and mountain weather using Roamze's own outdoor data.

What this connector does

Roamze is an outdoor adventure planning platform — tens of thousands of trails, campgrounds, and recreation sites, plus gear and meal planning built for real trips. The Roamze connector hands that same catalog to Claude, so instead of switching to another tab you can just ask.

Once it’s connected, Claude can answer questions like “find me a moderate hike near Buena Vista under six miles”, “what’s the forecast at that trailhead this weekend?”, or “build me a packing list and three dinners for two nights out.” Claude decides when to reach for Roamze; you just talk normally.

What this connector does

Four kinds of work, and nothing else. Most of it draws on public Roamze listings and government data; the gear and trip tools also read your own private records, which is called out below.

Roamze catalog

Find and understand activities

Search public Roamze listings by location, type, difficulty and season, then pull the full detail on any one — distance, elevation, seasonality and description.

Public agency data

Check the conditions

National Weather Service forecasts and active alerts for your coordinates, plus historical averages for that week when the trip is too far out for a real forecast.

Catalog + your account

Pack and eat

Gear recommendations for a trip, the gaps in its gear list, your own gear closet, and a meal plan with alternatives. The closet is private to your account.

Public agency data

Sort the logistics

Campgrounds and facilities from Recreation.gov, and a flag when an activity needs a permit or reservation — with booking links and lead times.

What it cannot do

The limits below are structural — not settings you have to configure.

  • It cannot read another account’s data. Everything user-scoped — your trips, your gear closet, your meal plans — is limited to you, plus trips someone has explicitly shared with you as a collaborator. A trip you cannot see reads as “not found”, so the connector cannot even be used to confirm that someone else’s trip exists.
  • It cannot edit, delete or post anything. If you grant the “create trips” permission on the consent screen, Claude can create a trip in your account when you ask it to. Nothing else writes — no edits, no deletions, no reviews, no changes to a listing. Decline that permission and it cannot write at all.
  • It cannot reach your Claude conversations. The connector receives only what a tool call passes it. It has no access to your chat history, Claude’s memory, or files you have uploaded to Claude.

Authorizing the connector links it to your Roamze account so we can apply a per-account daily limit on the AI planning tools — that is what the sign-in is for. Our Privacy Policy covers how Roamze handles data generally.

The launch post walks through a real question end to end: Roamze is now a Claude connector. Step-by-step setup, including how to disconnect, lives in the help centre.

If something looks wrong

Trail data comes from a mix of public sources and can be incomplete or out of date, and Claude can misread it. Check conditions, closures, and permits with the managing agency before you head out. If a Roamze listing looks wrong, tell us at support@roamze.com.
